The Trouble With Allie by Lisa Andel

Allie is an elf that just has not been able to find a way to fit in with her people. She’s too small, her ears don’t point the right way and she’s not desirable. Even the vampires that attacked her and drank her blood told her she tasted nasty. The only other person that accepted her was her friend T. So she decided when the Rangers come into town, she will leave with them and visit different villages and try to find herself. Therefore, to support her, T gives her a night she will never forget and says goodbye to her, wishing her the best.

The Ranger’s don’t seem to think there’s anything wrong with Allie though, in particular a gorgeous shape-shifting kitty cat named Rainth who can’t keep his hands and other body parts off of her. He thinks her people are idiots for not accepting this beautiful, sexy, passionate, erotic elf into their folds.

Unfortunately, for Allie, she’s never been around humans and encounters a few snags along the way. Think thongs. Rainth shows Allie things she never imagined on this journey of love, passion, hope and even sadness. Unfortunately, along the way they also discover that the reason Allie is the way she is is due to a curse place on her when she was an infant and everyone that they talk to keeps ending up dead. Will Rainth, Allie, and the other Ranger’s be able to stop the curse before it’s completely out of control? Will Allie find everything she wants in the arms of Rainth? Or will she also need the bodies and the touch of the other cats?

What a spellbinding tale that was completely unexpected from me. I loved this story, everything about it from the characters, to the plot to the sex. Everything about this book was amazing. My only complaint is that I did not want it to end. Who knew elves could be so funny and sexy? I felt so bad for Allie at the beginning. Here is this elf that no one wanted and that no one thought would ever be good enough. Then she meets up with these shape-shifting cats and all her dreams come true for her. The sex scenes were explosive to say the least and wonderfully written. I am looking forward with great anticipation to read more stories from Lisa Andel. The Trouble With Allie was everything a great paranormal erotic book should be; passionate, explosive, and left me craving more. Praise to Lisa Andel for knowing exactly how this genre should be written!

The Ice Butterfly by Vivien Dean

Tomas is on the hunt for Rana and the ice butterfly that she has stowed away in the mountains of Saskatchewan. He has had other run-ins with the gorgeous Rana and he is not looking forward to seeing her again. The last time, they spent three days having sex and then she left him high and dry. Tomas is not a happy camper. However, he needs the Ice Butterfly in order to return to his job at the Elemental Regency. Therefore, Tomas and his cohort Jett, set out to find Rana and recover the ice butterfly.

However, as usual, Rana has her own agenda; another instance of tit for tat. All she wants is to feel Tomas inside of her again. Tomas will give her what she wants, but at what price to Rana? While Thomas seduces Rana, Jett sneaks past them and steals the ice butterfly back. Tomas teleports them out of there and they return the ice butterfly to its owner before Rana even wakes up. Will Rana seek retribution when she finds out Tomas used her to get to it or will she just consider them even?

What a fun, faced paced read. The Ice Butterfly will keep you on the edge of your seat. Although this story wasn’t among my favorites, I think most readers will love it. The characters were great, especially Rana and Tomas. They had a lot of amazing passion together, even though they were out to get one another. Unfortunately, for me, the story just happened to quickly. I had hoped more action would appear, and the ending did just that, it ended. To me, it just kind of dropped off and left me hanging. Overall, though, The Ice Butterfly was a very quick, and sexual story. I am interested to read another story from Vivien Dean another time.

The Canvas of her Skin by Vivien Dean

Mark’s agent has required him to take a class in life studies to try to improve on his paintings. He paints landscapes for crying out loud! What does a guy like him need to worry about painting people for? However, just to appease her, he takes the course; only to discover that maybe this course will be a lot more fun than he first anticipated. The model they’ll be painting is actually a woman… a gorgeous, sinewy, sexy as all get out model.

Tallulah is only modeling as a favor to a friend of hers, but, it may not have been a bad decision. After all, she did meet Mark. And for the first time in a long time, she fits. Mark makes her feel things no one else has before. During their date, Tallulah asks Mark to paint her, but not on a canvas; she wants to be the canvas. How can Mark resist such an erotic offer, especially when it turns into even more fun and games?

What an erotic joy ride of a story! The characters, the plot and of course the sex were all great. Vivien Dean is a wonderful author who knows the perfect ingredients for such a tale. Personally, I will never look at a painting the same way again. If you are looking for a fast-paced story with a touch of erotica, The Canvas of Her Skin is the book for you. It has a little of everything in it to hold your interest. Vivien Dean’s mastery of The Canvas of her Skin was fantastic. I’m looking forward to read more of her stories soon.

Dante's World: Sixty-Nine Reasons by Willa Okati

Fed up with being knocked down over and over again by a bigger, stronger vampire named Draylen, Reziel heads off on his own to see what else life has to offer. So far, he’s been beaten, cuckolded, killed and made into a vampire by Draylen. Can life away from him be any worse?

Taking his chance to make it on his own, Reziel befriends a pauper woman named Tacy, who agrees to show him abandoned homes and hiding places, in return for him pleasuring her. Tacy isn’t a normal woman though. In fact, she’s a demon of some sort. However, she strikes a deal with Reziel: she’ll keep his home and his bed, in exchange for him asking permission before bedding any other woman.

However, as Tacy is getting his home in order, Reziel is looking for food and a companion to keep. Stumbling along Tinder, Reziel knows he’s found the man for him. Offering him coin, and, the best sex of the young man’s life, Tinder agrees to become Reziel’s companion. So begins the turning of a new vampire. The slave has just become the master.

Let me start out by saying how surprised I was by this story. At the beginning, I was really scared to keep reading, afraid of what was going to happen next. I am ever so glad I kept going. I was in for the surprise of my life! What a monumentally erotic story of massive proportions. Just when you think the story is going to go one way, its twists and you’re taken down another road entirely. High praise to the Willa Okati for her wonderful characters and plot line; there was never a dull moment through this story. The only thing I was disappointed in was that I wanted to read about Draylen getting his due for his treatment of Reziel. I wanted him to pay big time. I am very interested in reading more stories from Willa Okati in the future.

San Diego Sunset by Alessia Brio and Will Belegon

He has been dreaming about her for months now. They’re on a beach, naked and it’s right after they make love. Suddenly, he wakes up before ever finding out her name. The beach in his dream is eerily familiar to him though; he knows he’s seen it or heard it being described before. Deciding the only thing to do is to board a plane and head to Black’s Beach, he gets his ticket and heads out to try to find his mystery woman.

She’s also been dreaming of him for months. Her erotic dreams always seem to get stronger towards the end of the month for some reason. The only thing she can think of to do is to make a list of all the things she remembers from her dreams and try to track down where this beach is. With the help of the internet and her clues, she catches her own flight to San Diego and Black’s Beach to hunt down her mystery man.

Will they find a way to connect or is it all just a dream? Will fate bring them together or conspire to keep them apart? In such a mad, wild world, will these two be able to find each other and find in the other everything they’ve been looking for?

What a fantastically fun read. San Diego Sunset was definitely not what I expected when I first started reading it; although I should have known it would be amazing with authors Alessia Brio and Will Belegon. Everything these two write together is outstanding. Somehow, they always manage to keep their stories and characters fresh and full of fun. One word of caution for readers though, this story is completely in the third person. The characters have no names. I’m not normally into third person narratives, but I found this story amazing and I think if you’re willing to give it a chance, you will too. As always, I cannot wait to read more from Alessia Brio and Will Belegon in the near future.

Imagine a hurricane, being alone in the house, no electricity, soaking wet, and booze. It could be a perfect backdrop for ignited passions or maybe even a reconciliation.

Let me just say, everything I have ever read from Cassidy Kent is amazing, and Sunset Key is no exception. This story was phenomenal. For anyone who read Raleigh in Rio from Cassidy Kent you’ll love the fact that these two characters are common in both stories. If you are looking for a wild, untamed romance with just a touch of erotica, Sunset Key will definitely be a great read for you. You will not be able to put the story down. Zach and Freesia are phenomenal together; fireworks exploding everywhere with these two. I can never say enough good things about Cassidy Kent without sounding redundant so I’ll end it with read this book, you’ll thank me for it later!

Proving Santa Exists by Victoria Blisse

Jonathan has just transferred computer companies from the U.S. to Manchester, England. It was a huge move on his part. However, being that he is an orphan with no other family it was considerably easier to just pack up and go. And so far, he hasn’t had time to dwell on his loneliness. On Jonathan’s first day at the office, he meets Jenny, a spunky, sweet, delicious woman who he seems to fall for big time.

Jenny has a crush on Jonathan from the first moment she meets him. However, she does try to keep it on a friendly basis seeing as how they work together and she does not want to screw that up. But she befriends him and invites him over to decorate her home for Christmas and to her family’s Christmas dinner. But while decorating, a kiss happens and things get a little wonky between them for a bit. However, when they get down to business and passion starts flying, you had better duck.

Proving Santa Exists was by far, the cutest, sweetest and most romantically passionate story I have ever had the pleasure to read. Jonathan was this gorgeous man who had absolutely no idea of all the fun that is Christmas. It ended up taking Jenny to show him that Santa truly does exist. If you are looking for a heart-warming Christmas story with some sex that isn’t extremely hot and heavy, then Proving Santa Exists is definitely the story for you. From beginning to end, you will be laughing at Jenny and Jonathan’s antics and feeling humbled by Jonathan’s past. This story gives new meaning to Christmas blessings. I am looking forward to reading more stories from Victoria Blisse in the near future.

Not Her Mr. Right by Rachel Carrington

Emma is going insane. Her mother is determined to get her married. She is sure all Emma needs is a nice man to take care of her. However, Emma is convinced that no man would want her. After all, she’s not rail thin and beautiful like a Barbie. In fact, she’s pretty full figured. Most men don’t want those things in a woman. Especially not one that they’re considering for the long haul.

Finally fed up, Emma comes up with a plan. However, her brothers and sisters know that Emma with a plan means trouble in the works; bail money, extradition, who knows with Emma. Nevertheless, Emma is planning to play it cool this time. She’s just going to date until she finds “Mr. Right” and then she will marry him and get her mother off her back.

Jake is back in town and he may have something different in mind for Emma. He wants her for himself and isn’t taking no for an answer; even though that’s all she’s been giving him. Emma just cannot seem to believe that a man like Jake could want a woman like her. She thinks he’s just playing games with her. How can Jake convince her he’s being sincere?

Be prepared to laugh till you drop with Not Her Mr. Right! This story was hilarious. I love Emma and Jake. No matter what Jake said to her, it was taken the wrong way. In addition, Emma’s meddling mother was a hoot! Rachel Carrington never fails to impress readers with her imaginative characters and storylines. Although I haven’t had the pleasure to read very many stories where the heroine seems to be overweight and the gorgeous guy still wants her, I’d like to give high praise to Rachel Carrington for showing me the light. Being a larger woman myself, I was able to connect with Emma and her feelings and insecurities. It was great that Jake never judged her by her size. Thank you again Rachel Carrington for another engaging, heartfelt story as only you are able to accomplish.

Once in the air, Jake starts the ball rolling with Jesse, but will Carter join in? Carter shows interest, but will he be able to get past his shyness in order to make Jesse’s fantasy come true? Will having both men be enough to satisfy Jess when they land?

Mile High Fantasy is a fun, engaging and lust-filled story. If you are looking for something that is almost pure sex, this is definitely a story for you. The sex was without a doubt hot and heavy. I will definitely be thinking of this story the next time I am on a plane. Mary Suzanne is a very provocative author with a vivid imagination. Jesse and Jake were great. Although Carter could have been more dominant, once he got the green light from Jess it was full speed ahead. I am excited to read more stories from Mary Suzanne sometime in the future.

Melting the Ice Queen by Aurora Black

David’s divorce was final just two years ago and he is still having a hard time dealing with being alone. However, it’s not the nighttime hours that bother him. Some sort of mysterious woman appears at night and has her way with him; only David has never seen her face. When he asks her who she is, she disappears.

However, this is not the only strange thing to happen to David. As he is walking through the woods, he hears a woman singing and on closer inspection, he finds a woman ice-skating on a pond not far from his cabin. However, when he asks her for her name, she runs away. On top of that, this same woman turns out to be the new creative director at his office by the name of Christabel. Coincidence? Hmmmm.

Christabel has not had an easy life though. She lost the love of her life in an accident and she swore to herself that she would never let anyone get that close again. Although she has a very strong attraction to David, she is just not ready to love someone again or to let David get that close to her. Will David be able to melt this ice queen’s heart and make her his?

What an amazing, heart wrenching story of life, love and the ability to move on past ones pain to make another life with someone else. I absolutely loved David and his ability to see past Christabel’s hard outer shell and see the true woman beneath and to be patient and wait for her. If you are looking for a sweet, sentimental, emotional read, Melting the Ice Queen is the story for you. This is a perfect story just in time for Valentine’s Day. Make sure that you have some Kleenex at your disposal though as you will probably need it. Aurora Black is a very talented author and I will be looking forward to reading more books of hers in the future.

McIntyre & Coventry by Lisa Andel

T.J. Coventry and Rand McIntyre have literally known each other all their lives. They were friends, so-so lovers, and now they’re partners. However, unbeknownst to each other, they are both interested in the other, but afraid to screw things up. Together they own a private investigative agency called McIntyre and Coventry Investigations. They are not your normal P.I. firm though. They specialize in supernatural investigations.

Suddenly a woman comes in looking for help in locating her missing brother, Nick. Nick worked for T.J.’s brothers’ P.I. firm when he went missing. Her brother’s are not being much help in the information-sharing department. In addition, she’s dealing with her raging lusts for just about every male that passes her way, including Rand.

Therefore, since Rand is sleeping with the whole women population, T.J. decided to give him a taste of his own medicine and make him jealous. Will her attempts work? Will they be able to solve the case before it’s too late for one of them?

Move over Laurell K. Hamilton and Kate Douglas, you have some major competition on your hands. Lisa Andel just gets better and better. Ms. Andel always gives the reader everything they want in a book; excellent characters, great action and plot, and of course lots of yummy sex. My only hardship while reading this story was that I couldn’t pick a favorite male character. All of them were just exquisite. Lisa Andel sure knows how to bring her male characters to life. T.J. is a very amusing character, even throughout the pain and hardships she goes through, especially when she is caught between all the men. Five Angels for both Lisa Andel and McIntyre & Coventry!

Love Lessons by Kate Burns

Jenn has run into a rut in her sex life. The guy she is dating now is terrific out of bed, but he is worthless in it. Not knowing what else to do, she turns to her friend Glory sends her to an adult shop called Bare Minimum to try to get things fired up with her boyfriend. Deciding instead to just end things with him, Jenn calls him and ends their relationship. After all, there’s better men out there, right?

However, deciding she could still use some tricks up her sleeve, she swallows her shyness and goes inside to talk to Greg, Bare Minimum’s owner. Once she talks to Greg she gets other thoughts in her head. Greg is gorgeous and sexy as all get out. He also offers to teach her a few lessons in the lovemaking department.

When Jenn goes to meet Greg for their lesson, things get a little kinky. Greg makes it a point to give and show Jenn anything and everything she wants. However, what happens when the student becomes the teacher?

What an engaging and hot read. I loved how Jenn went from meek mouse to scorching firebrand. Greg was hot and sexy. The sex scene was magnificent. The student to teacher theme was a lot of fun. As a matter of fact, everything about Love Lessons was great. According to the author herself, she is new to writing erotica, but I have to say, Kate Burns writes erotica like a pro. I am very excited to read more stories from Kate Burns in the future.

Jilted by Leigh Ellwood

Karma will get you every time as Dara is soon to find out. On the day of her wedding, she forgets her gloves in her room and rushes up there only to be locked in with three incredibly gorgeous men. However, Dara knows all three of these men from her past. She jilted every single one just hours before her nuptials and now they are here to teach her a lesson. It’s not so much a lesson in anger though, but more of a lesson in passion.

However, things are not always what they seem. Although she has wild, passionate sex with her three men, payback may or may not be the actual ulterior motive. It is all fun and games until someone gets hurt, right? However, the person who may get hurt will surprise you.

Jilted is one of those books that just makes you tingle all over. It keeps you wondering just what is going to happen next. I will tell you, though, that the ending was something I never would have expected. My jaw literally hit the ground at the end. Leigh Ellwood did a superb job with Jilted. An excellent storyline and passionate characters tied in with lots of hot lovin’ and powerful characters make Jilted a hit. I am very excited to read more of this author’s books.

In Ruins by Amanda Jean Kelly

Raul is an archeologist hell-bent on finding Yeccijil's Staff. Yeccijil was an old Mayan king who sacrificed women and children on the promise that come Armageddon, he could resurrect them. Unfortunately, it did not work and Yeccijil’s people killed him. Now Raul has to unearth the staff, otherwise he loses the money he invested in this dig and the almost million dollars he would be paid for recovering it. The staff is also purported to be magical, so Raul, of course, wants it even more.

Theresa has a lot invested in this dig also. She just found out her that mother is dying of cancer and she has been unable to pay the mortgage and all the bills. Therefore, unless they uncover this staff, Theresa has a lot to lose. However, they are running out of time. Excavation is ending in the morning. She has one more night to explore the cave in the hopes of finding it.

Things deteriorate when both Theresa and Raul are caught in a tunnel when it suddenly caves in. On the other hand, it may not be too bad, seeing as how they found Yeccijil’s tomb. Could his staff be in here with him? In addition, even if they find the staff, will they be able to get out of these tunnels alive? And will Theresa and Raul give into the passion that surrounds them?

Let me start out by saying, I was immensely surprised at how quickly I became drawn into this story. I had never read a book about archeology and I was worried that I would not be able to be fair in my review of it, but holy smokes, this story was amazing. I have fallen in love with the sexy, growling, bad boy Raul. Theresa is no slouch herself in this book. She certainly gave Raul a run for his money. The plot, the characters and the passion were all very exquisitely written. I have nothing but very high praise for Amanda Jean Kelly. I just have to say, the ending was amazing. I cried my eyes out. I cannot wait to read more of Amanda Jean Kelly’s books in the future.

He Came Upon a Midnight Clear by Cat Johnson

Ginny left her family and friends to take a job as a caretaker for a home out in the middle of nowhere. Ginny figured it would afford her the peace and solitude to work on and finish the book she’s been writing without her mother bothering her endlessly to find herself a man. Unfortunately, once there, Ginny finds herself with writers block and in a funk because, ultimately, she does want a man of her own. Ginny, with the help of a TV relationship doctor, decides to make a list of everything she wants in life and love. Later that night though, during a snowstorm, Ginny finds quite a surprise outside.

Going outside to close the flapping barn door, Ginny stumbles upon a half-frozen man on the ground. Thankful he’s alive, Ginny helps get him into the house to dry off and get warm. Once in the house though, things go from bad to a little worse, or better depending on how you look at it. They have no power, no electricity or heat, and Ginny cannot get the fire going to save her life. The only thing she can think of is for them to get naked and share body heat.

Unfortunately, lacks of heat and electricity aren’t the only things that are missing. So is the gorgeous hunk’s memory. He has no idea what his name is, where he’s from, or how he ended up at Ginny’s. All either of them really know is that laying naked together to keep warm is also warming up some other body parts as well. However, when Ginny wakes up in the morning, her mystery man is gone. Was he all a dream or a muse, maybe, to help her finish writing her book?

As the old adage says, “where there’s smoke, there’s fire.” That is the perfect summary of He Came Upon a Midnight Clear. Passions heat up and love is found in this amazingly, heart-warming Christmas story from Cat Johnson. Ginny was rip-roaring fun; she never thought twice about getting naked with the mysterious half-frozen man. She just went with the flow and let things happen as they would. If you are looking for a wonderful romantic story with sweet love scenes, He Came Upon a Midnight Clear is unquestionably the story for you. You will find everything you want; wonderful characters, a great plot line and an exquisitely written love scene. I cannot wait to read more stories from Cat Johnson!

However, when her brother Daniel gets into a bit of trouble with someone and is kidnapped, Danny must return to her pack and face Alex, for it’s only with his help that she has a chance to rescue Daniel, even if they haven’t been close in a very, very long time. Nevertheless, there are a lot of people standing in Danny’s way.

First, there’s Alex. Alex wants to make Danny his, even though she is determined not to belong to anyone except herself. He makes her re-contract with his pack in order to help her find her brother. He also enlists the help of another pack, the Stone Claw Clan and their alpha, Draco.

Now Draco wants Danny and payment for his help. If she does something to help him out, he will lead her to the right people to find her brother. Unfortunately, Draco is determined to make Danny part of his pack also. Why can’t these men just understand that Danny will belong to no one? Draco informs her that a certain vampire master may have something to do with Daniel’s disappearance so Danny goes to his club to look him up.

Savior Knight is the master of the city and of all Danny’s desires. Everything about this vamp turns Danny’s insides to molten lava. His looks, his touch, his lips and his body do things to Danny that she never thought possible. Unfortunately, he has also decided to mark her and make her his.

What is it with all these men wanting her for their own? Danny is going to have to kick some otherside butt if she has any hope of finding her brother before it’s too late. In addition, just how will Daniel react when his sister shows up to save his hide? Will Danny be able to figure out which man she really wants? Will there be a showdown for her love?

Werewolves, witches and vampires oh my! This story has everything you could ever imagine. It’s like a fairy tale with passion brought to life. Half-Wed Moon is everything you could ever want in a book. Excellent characters and plot line, tons of adventure, mind-blowing passion. Think a combination of Laurell K. Hamilton’s Anita Blake and Meredith Gentry series meets Buffy the Vampire Slayer and you have got yourself a winner here. Mara Lee is an incredible authoress with tons of talent and a lot of witticism. High praise for Mara Lee’s Half-Wed Moon!

Fighting Fate-Book 3 of the Fate Series by Emma Sinclair

In this, the final book in the Fate Series, Atty’s story is brought to light. Atty is one of the Sisters of Fate, her real name actually being Atropos. She is in control of cutting the strings of a person’s life. Atty’s sisters think it would be nice for her to take a tropical vacation so they send her to a beautiful tropical island for a week for some R & R.

During the flight, she meets Cole. Cole is also headed for the island but not exactly for the same reasons. Something is wrong with Cole. Something serious. He just wants to come to terms with what is happening to him, but when he meets Atty, his previous intentions go right out the plane window. Same goes for Atty. They just cannot seem to keep their hands off each other. It’s sure going to be an interesting week for the two of them.

However, what happens when the week is over? Atty is going to have to return to Mount Olympus and Cole is going to have to deal with his medical condition. Will they be able to come up with a plan before they lose each other forever? How will Cole react when he discovers that ultimately, Atty is responsible for his condition? Will he ever be able to forgive her?
I really do not know what to say about this book. Emma Sinclair makes me laugh, cry, stomp my feet, get angry and rejoice at the same time. She is one of those rare authors who are able to combine a multitude of emotions in both the plot and the characters. Atty was my favorite character out of all three books. Shy, passionate, witty, sweet and willing to risk everything for the man she loves. Cole was a superb specimen of male yumminess. Praise to Emma Sinclair for a smashing finish to an amazing trilogy of stories. I hope and pray that there will be more such amazing stories and characters from her in the future.

Loving Fate-Book 2 of the Fate Series by Emma Sinclair

In this, the second book of the Fate Series, Noah has just lost his little girl after she was kidnapped and murdered. Lacy, who is one of the Sisters of Fate feels like it is all her fault. Even though it’s against their rules, she cannot help but visit Noah on Earth and give him updates on Sarah. And even though it could get her in much more trouble, she cannot keep herself from checking on Sarah in Heaven.

However, when Noah suddenly appears on Mount Olympus during what he thinks is a dream about Lacy, he walks right into some crazy family dynamics he could never imagine. First of all, he has no idea that it’s not a dream. Secondly, he has no idea that Lacy is one of the three Fates, and ultimately responsible for his daughter’s death. All he does know is that he cannot get enough of this woman.

Nevertheless, will Noah be able to get Lacy past her guilt due to her involvement? Will he be able to find a way for the two of them to be together? After all, he is mortal and she is a Goddess.

Great Gods and Goddesses I can’t stop crying! This was the most heartfelt story I have ever read. Emma Sinclair is a writing Goddess herself. What a beautifully drawn story. My heart broke for Noah when he lost his little girl and it filled when Lacy entered his life. All the old characters are back in this sequel, which I loved. I didn’t have to miss what was also happening between them. Emma Sinclair knows how to reach her readers on a very basic heart wrenching level and that is very rare. I just cannot get enough of all of these characters! Thank you, Ms. Sinclair for writing such amazing characters and such splendid stories for each of them. I cannot wait to read the next book.

Tempting Fate-Book 1 of the Fate Series by Emma Sinclair

Chloe is one of the three Fate Sisters residing on Mount Olympus controlling mortal’s destinies. Only now, Chloe is finding herself bored out of her mind. For heaven’s sakes, how many times can a girl paint her nails in never-ending millennia? Therefore, Chloe decides to take a vacation on Earth and have some fun for a change.

Arriving on Earth, she goes to a bed and breakfast and meets Tanner. Tanner is a man full of pain whose mother just died and left the decrepit bed and breakfast on his shoulders. Tanner is not too happy to have Chloe staying with him right now. Even if she is the most amazingly beautiful woman he has ever seen, and the one person that gets completely under his skin, pushing him to start feeling again. Will he be able to get over the hurt and pain of finding his murdered mother? How will Tanner respond when he finds out that Chloe is not actually Chloe at all but actually Clothos, the ancient Fate? Will he be able to forgive her for ultimately being responsible for the death of his mother? In addition, will her father, Zeus be able to help her be with the only man since the dawn of time that she truly loves? And just what can happen when you tempt fate?

What a truly enjoyable read. I had goose bumps through this whole story. This was a truly beautiful, romantic, poignant, passionate story. I just cannot say enough good things about Tempting Fate or its author Emma Sinclair. I laughed, I cried, I cheered for Chloe and Tanner, and I wanted to smack Tanner a few times. I have not enjoyed myself so much while reading a book in a very long time. Thank you so much Emma Sinclair for giving me back my faith in the magical powers of books!

Bonds of Darkness by Joyce Ellen Armond

Kate is an attorney on the fast track to success. Unfortunately, something is missing in her life. Kate does not have time to socialize, date, shop or do much of anything else. Her work keeps her pretty much busy non-stop. The only thing she does allow herself is breakfast with Paul. They have been doing this for over a year but so far, it has not gone beyond that. However, maybe, today, with her dressed to the nines to fight her way in court, Paul will finally notice her as a woman, not that Kate really has time to date him.

Paul notices Kate all right. He has wanted her since the first day he met her in the café. However, Paul has a deep, dark secret that could destroy Kate if she ever finds out. Paul is cursed; he has been for more years than he would like to remember, but he wants Kate and he is willing to go to the one person that he cannot stand, the only person that may be able to save him, in order to be with Kate.

However, before either Kate or Paul can even think about a relationship, they need to deal with their personal lives first. Kate, as a victim advocate, is dealing with a case that may just destroy her emotionally. As for Paul, he needs to see if he can get rid of the curse that has been placed on him. Will they be able to make things work for them? On the other hand, are they destined to miss out on what just may be, the love of each other’s lives?

I absolutely loved this book. Joyce Ellen Armond is a fantastic author. Everything about Bonds of Darkness was superb from the character interactions, to the adventure and plot line, to the emotional roller coaster of Kate and Paul. I found it very romantic that they spent a year just having coffee together with neither of them knowing how the other felt. How sweet is that? However, when one of them is in trouble, the other one is right there fighting alongside to make things right. To me, that is perfect love. High praise to Joyce Ellen Armond for the wonderfully crafted Bonds of Darkness.

Body Check by S.K. Gray

Running away to Kinetka Tok, Alaska, Lilly is sure she has left behind both her failed marriage and her miserable life back in Chicago. Trying to pick up the pieces, she becomes manager of a spa called Body Check located in the ski resort. However, will all of her changes end up making any difference for her in the end? All she wants to do is escape and hide from her past life, but others may have something to say on that matter.

John Baylor is definitely a “warm fuzzy,” the ladies of Kinetka Tok’s way of saying yummy hottie. Hockey buff, just finished the academy for Mounties, and ten years younger than Lilly, he is definitely a woman’s dream and Lilly is no exception.

Thinks are definitely heating up in Alaska. These two better be careful or Alaska may turn into green pastures. Deciding that ten years isn’t that bad of an age difference, Lilly takes matters into her own hands, so to speak, and the two of them spiral out of control very fast. However, will either of them be able to protect their hearts?

What a fun, passionate, exciting ride of love, sex and hope. Lilly is so sweet and funny and John is such an innocent in a way. He still blushes for crying out loud! How much better can it get? Tons hotter that’s for sure. If you are looking for a light, witty, passionate, and fun read, this is the must have book for you. S.K. Gray is an amazing story weaver who creates a fun ride between the older woman/younger man scenario. Grab a blanket, start a fire, make some popcorn and prepare to be riveted by the cutest erotic book you will ever have the pleasure of reading. Both S.K. Gray and Body Check are amazing. I cannot wait to read more of these books from S.K. Gray.

Artistically Inclined by Alessia Brio & Will Belegon

Cyndi and Kevin are in a fairly new relationship together. Things are going really well for the two of them, but Cyndi thinks that they need to spice up their sexual relationship a little. It is not that anything’s wrong with it right now; she just doesn’t want it to get boring like both of their previous relationships did. Therefore, Cyndi devises a Valentine’s Day plan to knock both their socks off. She emails Kevin and tells him to come up with his five most daring fantasies and put them on paper. She will do the same. On Valentine’s Day, instead of candy and dinner, they’ll exchange fantasies, see how compatible they are and, in the weeks after, they’ll bring them to life.

Kevin knows what his are right off the bat; he’s a little worried that Cyndi won’t go for a few of them, though. Cyndi also has a few ideas for some herself. However, when Kevin suggests they abstain from sex until Valentine’s Day, all that makes Cyndi want to do is crawl across the table and rip his clothes off more. Anticipation is the fuel that stokes the fire after all.

However, when Valentine’s Day arrives, both of them have a little more in store than even their imaginations could allow for. Will each of them receive everything they ever wanted sexually? Will these fantasies being acted out bring them closer together or tear them apart?

Hold onto your seats ladies and gentlemen, we have lift off! What an energetic, engaging, passionate, lust-filled story. Authors Alessia Brio and Will Belegon are amazing together. I loved Cyndi and Kevin. Both of these characters came from bad previous relationships and were willing to do anything to be creative and keep this new relationship on fire. Everything about Artistically Inclined was superb, from the characters and the plot to the hot and heavy sex scenes. I cannot wait to read more from these two amazing authors.

ArtiFactual by Alessia Brio & Will Belegon

The first story in this collection is called: Erotique

Mandy, due to the death of her aunt, has just inherited Erotique, one of the most notorious sexual museums and gift shop ever created. Erotique has been passed down from generation to generation in Mandy’s family, but only upon the death of the previous owner. However, when Mandy starts working at the store, things aren’t exactly as they seem. For one, Mandy doesn’t quite believe that her aunt’s death was as simple and clear cut as the police say. Secondly, strange things are happening with the sex toys. They almost seem to be coming alive, with the memories of users long gone from this earth. Somehow, Mandy and her long time friend and recent lover, Bruce, get transported from one country to another every time they come into contact with these pieces.

The second story in this collection is called: Switched

It’s a few months later and things are still going really well with both Mandy and Bruce and Erotique. However, Bruce and Mandy need to compromise with the store to have some more alone time. What better way than to cut out of work early and have a picnic in bed and at the same time, sample a little of each other along the way? How about making Mandy into a fruit salad or a buffet? By the way, Mandy brought home a little surprise for the two of them from the shop. Crazy things happen when you use nipple clamps.

The third story in this collection is called: Amichu

In this third story, Mandy and Bruce are headed to Santiago in search for more lusty toys for Erotique and to meet with a mysterious professor who was an acquaintance of her dead aunt. However, both of them may be getting quite a different kind of ride before their flight is over. Arriving at their destination and meeting the professor, he surprises them with an ancient artifact called Amichu, which in Incan, was said to mean “thing united with another.” The professor needs Bruce and Mandy to find the other artifact to fit with this one. Danger awaits this duo and possibly the professor and his companion as well. Will they be able to get these erotic pieces out of Easter Island and back home with their lives intact?

The fourth story in this collection is called: Closing Arguments

Things are crazy back at Erotique. A woman claiming that a vibrator that she bought didn’t bring her to orgasm and also mad her infertile is suing the business and Mandy. On top of all of that, Bruce is gone working on a court case, and the professor is in the annex mourning the loss of Mandy’s aunt, determined to contact Aunt Viv’s spirit. However, with all the publicity about the lawsuit, Erotique is also busier than ever, for which Mandy is grateful. Now if other things in her life would just fall into place. Things definitely take a turn for the better when Bruce returns home though. Will they put more toys to use? Will the lawsuit destroy both Erotique and Mandy?

Let me just start out by saying, I have read quite a few stories from these authors and I was very surprised by this collaboration of their previously released single titles into one book. Unfortunately, these stories were not for me. ArtiFactual was by no means, my favorite story from this duo. If you’re looking for a collection of stories with the same characters throughout with a ton of crazy sex with items you’ve probably never even thought of, then this story is definitely for you. However, I do suggest buying this whole collection instead of each individual book, due to the fact that at least this way, you get the whole kit and caboodle instead of jumping around while reading the previous books.

Angel Eyes and Demon Lies by CJ England

Anael and Orias share a forbidden love and passion. A love that could ultimately be the death of them both. Anael is an angel, a woman destined to bring love and happiness to her charges. Orias is the complete opposite in every way. He is a Marquis of Hell, a Demon over Divination and Prophecy. In layman’s terms, Anael is good and pure and Orias is everything bad. However, it does not seem to be enough to keep these lovers apart.

That is until none other than Michael the Archangel catches them. He has suspected for a while that something was up with Anael. In addition, when he finds out that she is involved with Orias, he is not happy. He demands that they give each other up; an angel should not be cavorting with a demon. However, Anael is not backing down from Michael. She is in love and she is not going to let someone else tell her who she can or cannot be with. Even if it may mean the end of their existence.

What is going to happen to Anael and Orias? Will The Powers That Be force them apart? Are they destined to continue their lives separated forever by good vs. evil? You have to read this book and find out!

Take out some stock in the Kleenex industry; you are going to need it. What an amazing, engaging, hear-wrenching, erotic story! This is the first story I have ever had the pleasure of reading by CJ England and I am blown away. I was completely riveted from beginning to end. Everything about this story from the characters, to the plot, to the sex was mind blowing! Anael and Orias are one of those couples that you pray will work out. He is the bad boy, she is the good girl, but somehow, together, they are perfect. CJ England took a very different approach to God, angels and demons and made them almost human, with human emotions and difficulties. Any other time I would say something of this magnitude could not be done, but CJ England taught me just how wrong I was. High, high praise for both Angel Eyes and Demon Lies and the books amazing author, CJ England. I cannot wait to read another story from this author. 5 Angels and a Recommended Read just is not enough.

A Certain Way by Renee Blaine

Laura’s day has not ended well. Leaving work a few hours early to surprise her husband, she in turn gets quite a surprise of her own. Walking into her bedroom, she finds her husband and her sister in bed together. Instead of making her presence known though, she walks out and leaves.

Deciding to go to the only place she can think of, she arrives on Daniel’s doorstep. She and Daniel have known each other since high school, when dreams could still come true. Daniel has always hated Laura’s husband, Richard, and now he hates him even more for hurting Laura. He has wanted to kick the guy’s butt since Laura married him. But for now, he has Laura with him and that’s what’s important.

What will Laura decide to do? Will she go back to Richard, or start over fresh with Daniel? Will she ever be able to get past Richard’s betrayal?

Two thumbs up. Renee Blaine is a very talented author. Her characters are fun, feisty and sexy. Laura isn’t taking anything laying down in this story. If you are looking for quick, fun reads, then Phaze’s Fury Line stories are perfect for you. My only complaint about this story is that it was so short. However, it is not the author’s fault, just the line she wrote the story for. I just wanted to see Laura extract more revenge on Richard for his philandering ways. But overall, A Certain Way was a very engaging, heartfelt story. I am excited to read more from Renee Blaine in the future.

How is she going to get out of this mess when she can’t even find the time bender? And will it even work? What about Dane? He zapped to Scotland with her, is he still planning to kill her? Holy time travel Batman! What an amazing, griping story. I couldn’t put the book down; it was driving me crazy wanting to know what was going to happen next! Michelle Miles is an engaging author with a very vivid imagination. Honestly, this is extremely different from my usual genre of reading, but I’m immensely grateful that I chose this book. I am even more thankful to Michelle Miles for creating such an amazing book and such wonderful characters. I loved William Wallace. He and Alanna were so funny together. I of course hated Dane. I cannot wait to read more books from Michelle Miles in the near future. She is truly an amazingly gifted writer.

A Babe in Ghostland by Lisa Cach

Megan Barrows used to be a ghost-buster, using her psychic abilities to clear out haunted houses. Now, due to an unruly spirit almost stealing her soul, her ghost-busting days are over. Instead, she uses her psychic abilities to her favor in buying and selling antiques.

Chase Lambert is a real estate tycoon who buys houses for dirt-cheap, fixes them up, and resells them for major money. Only this time, his house is haunted and he doesn’t want to believe in all that hocus-pocus.

Instead, Chase turns to Megan for her expertise in ridding his home of these bothersome spooks. The two of them cut a deal. If Megan can prove there are ghosts in residence, she can have her pick of twenty pieces of furniture, but if it’s all an act, she has to re-do twenty pieces of furniture and bring them back to their glory. However, Chase also wants her to move in for his own selfish, passionate reasons. Nevertheless, Megan isn’t the only being that wants Chase. A few of the ever after residents seem to have the hots for him too.

What an amazingly fun read. A Babe in Ghostland is my first read ever from Lisa Cach. I am so glad I read this book. I laughed from the beginning to the very end. I just could not put this book down. Chase and Megan were a perfect match from the very first chapter. I loved how Megan never held back from letting Chase know exactly what she was thinking or feeling. There was no walking all over her in this story. The ghosts were hilarious and even more so was Chase’s reaction to their advances. I cannot wait to read Lisa Cach’s other books. She is going to be a favorite author of mine from now on.

Diary of a Demon Hunter: Death Unsung by Michele Bardsley

Maggie is having a horrible life. She still has not caught Abatu, her friend Sarah has literally just had a demon baby, Raphael is thought to be dead, there are still demons running around for her to catch, and now she’s in a really bad mood. The top of her list? Assassinate the High Council.

Now she has another fight in the wings. Abatu has captured Raphael and Maggie has to get him back. With the help of Sarah’s lover Eltar, they proceed to the realms of hell and find Rafe. Unfortunately, he has been captured by Abatu’s lieutenant, Sardek. The only way they can save Rafe is to have sex in front of Sardek; a deal’s a deal after all. Nevertheless, Maggie will make Sardek pay for this.

Will their plan work to save Rafe? Will they all make it out alive? Will Sarah forgive Eltar and make a life with him and their child? How much demon butt will Maggie be kicking before it’s all said and done?

I loved this book. Everything about it was amazing. Maggie is a little bit Anita Blake and a whole lot of Buffy all rolled into one. Sarah’s demon baby sounded adorable with the little pink horns sticking out of her head. This book is like one huge family dynamic, although a bit dysfunctional at times. I love Maggie and Rafe. They are an amazing couple, both willing to sacrifice themselves for the other. Everything I read from Michele Bardsley is engaging and full of action and adventure. I can’t wait to read the next story in this series.
